How do you want your items?
I've been sleeping on an air mattress for the past two years and I honestly think they're underrated.
Firstly, you can adjust the firmness of it by either putting in more air or letting some air out. Feel like you need more support? Add some air to it. Want to sink in a bit? Let some air out.
Secondly, if you ever want to rearrange your room or move they're so much lighter and easier to move than a regular mattress/bed.
Third, they're cheaper.
Lastly, a good air mattress is probably more comfy than most people realize. Of course, a $100 air mattress can't compete with a more expensive regular mattress on comfort. To me though, once you factor in the cost of a box spring, mattress, and frame for a regular bed... it's just not worth the extra cost over just getting an air mattress to me.
